Section 5. The Creation
Church believes:
a. in the Genesis account of creation; that the Triune God, by a free act of His will, and for His own glory, without the use of pre-existing materials or secondary causes brought into being, immediately and instantaneously the entire universe (Genesis 1:1-2, Psalms 33:6, Nehemiah 9:6; Isaiah 40:21-31; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16).
b. that the days of Genesis 1 are 24 hour days, that no significant gaps exist in the genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11, and that Adam’s creation took place at about 4000 BC We reject the theories of evolution (including theistic evolution1 and uniformitarianism). (Psalms 33:9).
c. that the flood covered the entire earth (Genesis 7:17-24).
