Proving What Is That Good, And Acceptable, And Perfect, Will Of God
Rom 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
It is everyone that is born again's privilege to be transformed to be like Christ, and live proving (and demonstrating) what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. i.e. Show by example the new life in Christ.
For Example: Daniel and his friends were used by the Lord to declare Himself firstly to the Babylonians and then the Medes and Persians.
See Dan. 1 where Daniel's good testimony brings him in favour with the master of the Eunuchs. Which favour enabled Daniel to reason with him about eating correctly as a Jew.
Dan. 2 Daniel's righteous walk before the Lord made him a pure vessel that the Lord was able to use to demonstrate to king Nebuchadnezzar Who the one true God is. The Lord gave Daniel the dream and the interpretation of the dream of king Nebuchadnezzar.
Dan. 3 Daniel's friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to bow down and worship the golden image that king Nebuchadnezzar build and commanded all worship when certain music was played. The Lord uses them to demonstrate that He is the one true God. The Lord does not use those who do not live in righteousness before Him.
Dan. 4 Daniel records the testimony of king Nebuchadnezzar who, in this chapter, testifies to how the Lord humbles him to acknowledge Jehovah as the one true God Who is over all. Again the Lord uses Daniel in His winning of the heart and mind of king Nebuchadnezzar.
Dan. 5 The Lord uses Daniel to interprete His condemnation of king Belshazzar. Again Daniel's righteous walk with the Lord enables the Lord to use him to achiever His purposes.
Dan. 6 when the princes conspired to have Daniel thrown to the Lions the Lord delivers Daniel and his accusers are thrown to the lions. In this case the Lord uses Daniel, whom king Darius has great affection for, to bring the king to know the one, true, living God.
In all ages the Lord has been pleased to use true believers to be living demonstrations of the blessed live that one has when responding to the wooing of God. And then living in righteousness and He lead His children to change and be like Him. i.e. To have the same values as Him.
